Item 8.01. Other Events.
On April 18, 2012, Center Bancorp, Inc. issued a press release announcing that its Union Center National Bank subsidiary had filed an application with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for approval to open a full-service branch in Englewood, New Jersey. A copy of the release is filed with this Current Report on Form 8-K as an exhibit.
