Item 8.01. Other Events.
On April 9, 2012, OMNOVA Solutions filed its first quarter 2012 Form 10-Q with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Reported Income from Discontinued Operations per share was $0.06, an improvement of $0.01 over the $0.05 per share Income from Discontinued Operations reported in the March 20, 2012 first quarter earnings announcement. This change resulted from an adjustment to the fair value of the net assets to be disposed of associated with the discontinued UK commercial wallcovering business, known as Muraspec, which was sold on March 6, 2012. As a result of this change to Income from Discontinued Operations, Net Income improved to $0.29 per share from the $0.28 per share amount stated in the prior earnings announcement.
