DTE Energy Company (“DTE Energy”) is furnishing the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) the financial statements for its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Michigan Consolidated Gas Company, for the year and quarter ended December 31, 2011. The financial statements were posted to DTE Energy's website at www.dteenergy.com on March 20, 2012. The financial statements are furnished as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
