Election of Director
On March 13, 2012, by vote of the Board of Directors of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (the “Company”), C. Martin Harris was elected a director of the Company, effective March 30, 2012. Dr. Harris was appointed to the Company’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Dr. Harris is the chief information officer and chairman of the information technology division of Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, one of the nation’s largest hospitals. Additionally, he is responsible for strategic business planning for Cleveland Clinic.
