Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
Effective March 5, 2012, Ronald B. Stark was named Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of NRG Energy, Inc. (the “Company”). He is assuming the position of the Company’s principal accounting officer from James Ingoldsby and will report to Kirkland B. Andrews, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Ingoldsby was appointed to the position of Senior Vice President, NRG Solar.
Mr. Stark, age 47, most recently served as Vice President, Internal Audit beginning in August 2011. Mr. Stark joined the Company as Senior Manager, Accounting Research in January 2007 and served as Director, Financial Reporting from October 2007 through July 2011.
