On February 27, 2012, Salix Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. issued a press release announcing financial and operating results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2011 and other business updates. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein in its entirety by reference.
