On February 16, 2012, Washington Federal, Inc. (the "Company") announced by press release that its NASDAQ ticker symbol will change to "WAFD". The Company's new symbol will become effective as of the opening of trading on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. A copy of the press release is attached to this filing as Exhibit 99.1.
