On February 10, 2012, New Century Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed David Richard (“Rick”) Tobin, Jr. to the position of Chief Credit Officer effective February 13, 2012. Mr. Tobin has 21 years of commercial banking experience and originally joined New Century Bank, the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, in 2008 as senior vice president and regional credit administrator. In April of 2011, Mr. Tobin was promoted to senior credit administrator and has more recently been serving as the “acting” Chief Credit Officer.
Mr. Tobin graduated from Appalachian State University in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in technology with business concentration.
