On February 6, 2012, Coinstar, Inc. (the “Company”) issued an earnings release announcing its financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2011, and separate prepared remarks from its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Copies of the earnings release and prepared remarks are attached hereto as Exhibits 99.1 and 99.2.
The Company’s earnings release and prepared remarks contain non-GAAP financial measures. Pursuant to the requirements of Regulation G, the Company has provided reconciliations within the earnings release and prepared remarks of the non-GAAP financial measures to the most directly comparable GAAP financial measures. Disclosure regarding definitions of these measures used by the Company and why the Company’s management believes the measures provide useful information to investors is also included in the earnings release and the prepared remarks.
