Implant Sciences Corporation (the “Company”) sadly announces the death of Joseph E. Levangie, on January 14, 2012. Mr. Levangie had served on the Company’s Board of Directors since December12, 2007 and was a member of the Board’s Compensation and Audit Committees.

On January 20, 2012, the Company issued a press release announcing Mr. Levangie’s death. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by this reference.
