Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers

 

Effective January 17, 2012, Allen T. Hamner retired from his position as director of First Community Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”) and its wholly owned subsidiary, First Community Bank. Mr. Hamner served the Company and its subsidiary bank for over twenty-five years. Mr. Hamner’s decision to retire was not a result of any disagreement with the Company or its management.
