On January 17, 2012, Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing the appointment of Julio A. Portalatin as President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercer, the Company's human resource consulting subsidiary. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
