On December 30, 2011, the Board of Directors of Cardinal Bankshares, Inc. (the “Company”) sent to the Company’s shareholders a letter, dated December 30, 2011, responding to the open letter to shareowners of Schaller Equity Partners, dated December 22, 2011. A copy of the response letter from the Company’s Board of Directors is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated herein by reference.
