Item 8.01. Other Events.
On December 15, 2011, Shengkai Innovations, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that the Company will hold its 2012 annual meeting of stockholders on December 22, 2011 in Tianjin, People's Republic of China. A copy of the press release that discusses this matter is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and incorporated by reference in its entirety.
