Other Events.

On December 6, 2011, Vulcan Materials Company received a 107(a) Imminent Danger Order at its Greystone Sand & Gravel facility located in Greene County, Tennessee. The Imminent Danger Order was issued to Vulcan because a customer truck driver was standing in the back of his dump truck on top of the material leveling the load with a shovel. According to MSHA, the customer truck driver was exposed to a fall hazard of 10 to 15 feet to the ground below. Despite posted warning signs prohibiting this practice, MSHA issued the order to Vulcan rather than to the trucking company.
