Item 8.01. Other Events
On December 2, 2011, Beacon Federal Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”), the holding company for Beacon Federal (the “Bank”), consummated the sale of their Tyler, Texas branch office to MidSouth Bancorp (“MidSouth”). Under the agreement announced August 17, 2011, MidSouth purchased all deposits and select assets associated with the Bank’s Tyler branch.
A copy of the press release dated December 5, 2011 is attached as Exhibit 99 to this report.
