Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On December 2, 2011, TBS International Plc (the "Company") announced that it has reached agreements in principle with its lenders to restructure the Company's debt. In anticipation thereof, the lenders have agreed to an extension of the forbereance period through February 15, 2012. A copy of the press release containing the announcement is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report and is incorporated herein by reference. The Company does not intend for the information contained in this Current Report on Form 8-K to be considered filed under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 or incorporated by reference into future filings under the Securities Act of 1933 or the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
