On November 30, 2011, Perry Ellis International, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a $20 million increase to the Company’s stock repurchase program. The repurchase program now provides for the purchase of up to $40 million of the Company’s common stock for cash in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions, from time to time and as market and business conditions warrant in management’s discretion, over a 12-month period. A copy of the press release announcing this authorization is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
