On November 8, 2011, Targacept, Inc. and AstraZeneca issued a joint press release reporting top-line results from RENAISSANCE 3, a Phase 3 clinical trial of TC-5214 as an adjunct to antidepressant therapy for patients with major depressive disorder who do not respond adequately to initial antidepressant treatment.
