Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

On October 27, 2011, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (the “Bank”) sent a letter to its members to report selected preliminary unaudited financial results for the quarter and year to date periods ended September 30, 2011. The text of the member letter is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
