ITEM 8.01. Other Events.

Effective October 18, 2011, The Bank of Southern Connecticut (the “Bank”), the principal subsidiary of Southern Connecticut Bancorp, Inc., terminated its Director Retirement Plan (the “Plan”) for each non-employee director of the Bank. The Plan was initially adopted on March 3, 2011, and there have been no payments made under the Plan prior to the date that the Plan was terminated.
