On October 12, 2011, Western Refining, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that
Company management will present at the 19th Annual 2011 Leveraged Finance Conference
hosted by Deutsche Bank Securities in Phoenix, Arizona. The presentation is currently scheduled
for Thursday, October 13, 2011, at 8:35 am PT and will be webcast live. The presentation includes
information on the Company’s second quarter financial performance, current market conditions, and
an update on the Company’s hedging activities, including the financial impact of these activities
through the third quarter of 2011. A link to the live webcast and presentation will be available
on the Investor Relations section of the Company’s website at www.wnr.com. The presentation and
webcast will be archived and remain available on www.wnr.com until November 4, 2011.
