ITEM 8.01             OTHER EVENTS.

On August 24, 2011, HF Financial Corp. (the “Company”) confirmed that Richard Lashley, a principal of PL Capital, LLC, submitted notice of his intent to nominate two directors for election at the Company’s 2011 annual shareholders meeting. The Company’s Board of Directors is considering the proposal.
