Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On August 4, 2011, Maury Austin, the Chief Financial Officer of MIPS Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”), informed the Company that he intends to retire as an employee of the Company effective at such time as the Company appoints a successor Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Austin intends to continue in his role as the Company’s principal financial officer until such time that the Company appoints his replacement.
A copy of the press release announcing Mr. Austin’s departure is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report.
