Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
David Binder, who has served as the Chief Financial Officer of InfoSpace, Inc. (the "Company") since January 2008, informed the Company on July 15 of his intention to resign from the Company in mid-August, 2011.
The Company intends to appoint Eric M. Emans as interim Chief Financial Officer upon Mr. Binder's departure, until a permanent successor is selected. Mr. Emans (age 38) currently serves as the Company's Chief Accounting Officer, a role he has held since January 2008. Mr. Emans joined the Company as Corporate Controller in September 2006. Mr. Emans had previously held various positions at the Company from September 2003 to December 2005, including Manager, Revenue Assurance and Senior Manager, Finance. From December 2005 to September 2006, he served as Director, Mobile Operations, at Corbis Corporation, a provider of visual content and rights services. He began his career as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche LLP.

On July 21, 2011, the Company issued a press release announcing the resignation of CFO David Binder and the Company's intention to appoint Eric Emans as interim CFO. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
