AMERICAN AIRLINES REPORTS JUNE TRAFFIC

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines reported that June traffic increased 1.3 percent versus the same period last year. Capacity increased 1.8 percent year over year, resulting in a load factor of 86.3 percent compared to 86.8 percent in the same period last year. International traffic increased by 4.8 percent relative to last year on a capacity increase of 3.8 percent. Domestic traffic decreased 0.9 percent year over year on a capacity increase of 0.5 percent.
American boarded 7.7 million passengers in June.
