Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On July 1, 2011, Gilbert J. Pomar, III notified Jacksonville Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Jacksonville Bank (the “Bank”), of his resignation from each of the boards of directors of the Company and the Bank effectively immediately. Mr. Pomar has also stepped down from his position as President of the Company effective July 1, 2011. Mr. Pomar’s resignations follow Mr. Pomar’s notice of termination under his Employment Agreement with the Bank disclosed by the Company on Form 8-K on June 30, 2011, and are not as a result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
