On June 27, 2011, Tower Bancorp, Inc. (“Tower”) mailed to its shareholders a letter briefly describing the proposed merger of Tower with Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc., and announcing the suspension of Tower’s Dividend Reinvestment and Stock Purchase Plan, effective June 21, 2011. A copy of the letter mailed to shareholders is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by this reference.
