Item 8.01 Other Events.

Severe storms passed through the Tennessee Valley Authority’s (“TVA”) power service area on April 27 and April 28, 2011.  TVA estimates the costs of the storms to TVA as being between $150 million and $200 million, which includes the cost of replacing generation at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant with higher-priced power, approximately $25 million to $30 million to repair and rebuild damaged transmission lines, and the impact of lost revenue.  The majority of these costs will be reflected automatically in rates through TVA’s fuel cost adjustment mechanism.
