Item 8.01. Other Events.
On May 3, 2011, QLT Inc. issued a press release announcing preliminary results from its Phase Ib proof-of-concept clinical trial of QLT091001 for the treatment of Leber Congenital Amaurosis (LCA), a rare and disabling childhood blindness. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
