In connection with the Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q of WNC Housing Tax Credit Fund VI, L.P., Series 9 (the “Partnership”) for the quarters ended December 31, 2006, September 30, 2006 and June 30, 2006 as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on the date hereof (the “Report”), and pursuant to 18 U.S.C., section 1350, as adopted pursuant to section 906 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, I, Melanie R. Wenk., Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of WNC & Associates, Inc., general partner of the Partnership, hereby certify that:
