Item 1.01                                             Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement.

On April 12, 2011, the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Forest Oil Corporation (“Forest”) approved an extraordinary stipend in the amount of $15,000 to Patrick R. McDonald, a director of Forest, for his time and effort spent during the first quarter of 2011 on matters related to the Lone Pine Resources Inc. initial public offering.
