On April 10, 2011 Dr. Lynda J.-S. Yang informed Sparton Corporation (“Sparton”) of her resignation from the Sparton board of directors effective as of May 15, 2011. At the time of her resignation Dr. Yang was a member of Sparton’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Dr. Yang’s resignation was not the result of any disagreement with Sparton regarding its operations, policies or practices, but was due to time commitments relating to her professional duties and industry appointments.
