Item 8.01. Other Events.
     On February 28, 2011, Santarus, Inc. (“Santarus”) and Pharming Group NV (“Pharming”) issued a press release announcing the receipt of a “refusal to file” letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) for the Rhucin® (recombinant human C1 inhibitor) Biologics License Application submitted by Pharming to the FDA.
     A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
