(b)     On February 16, 2011, Mr. Arthur L. Rebell informed Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. (the “Company”) that Mr. Rebell will not stand for re-election as a Director at the end of his current term, which will expire in conjunction with the Company’s 2011 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
