Item 8.01		Other Events.

     On February 10, 2011, Evergreen Solar, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it has extended the expiration date for its exchange offers and consent solicitation relating to its outstanding 4.0% Senior Convertible Notes due 2013 and its 13.0% Convertible Senior Secured Notes due 2015. The expiration date was extended to 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on Friday, February 11, 2011.

     A copy of this press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated in its entirety into this disclosure by reference.
