Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
 
(b)          Effective February 1, John A. Hamilton will no longer be an employee of Patient Safety Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”).  Mr. Hamilton has decided to resign from the Company for personal reasons but will be working with the Company as a consultant until his responsibilities are fully transitioned.  Additionally, the Company has eliminated the position of Chief Operating Officer, the position previously held by Mr. Hamilton.
