On February 3, 2011, the Board of Directors of Oriental Financial Group Inc. (the “Company”)
approved a new stock repurchase program pursuant to which the Company is authorized to purchase in
the open market up to $30 million of its outstanding shares of common stock. The shares of common
stock so repurchased are to be held by the Company as treasury shares. The new program replaces
the Company’s stock repurchase program approved in 2007.
