Item 8.01 Other Events.
On January 18, 2011, Metalico, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing preliminary determinations of certain financial results for the quarter and year ended December 31, 2010. The Company made the announcement in anticipation of investor meetings and conferences scheduled to occur before its final 2010 results will be available. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
