Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
TCF Financial Corporation (“TCF”) previously reported that Gregory J. Pulles, a director and its Vice Chairman and Secretary, notified TCF of his intention to retire as Vice Chairman and Secretary effective as of January 31, 2011. On January 6, 2011, Mr. Pulles withdrew his Notice of Retirement as Vice Chairman, which TCF accepted. Mr. Pulles will continue as TCF’s Vice Chairman and will remain on TCF’s board of directors.
A description of Mr. Pulles’ compensation can be found under the caption “Compensation Discussion and Analysis” in TCF’s proxy statement for its 2010 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, which was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 10, 2010 (the “2010 Proxy Statement”). Mr. Pulles’ biography can be found under the caption “Background of the Nominees” in the 2010 Proxy Statement.
