Item 8.01. Other Events.
On January 7, 2011, The Hillman Companies, Inc. (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing that its Hillman Group, Inc. subsidiary purchased Servalite, Inc., an East Moline, Illinios based distributor of residential fasteners and related products. The press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
