CenterPoint Energy Resources Corp. to sell
$550 million of senior notes
$550 million of senior notes
HOUSTON January 4, 2011 CenterPoint Energy Resources Corp. (CERC), an indirect,
wholly-owned subsidiary of CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CNP), today announced that it intends to
sell through a private offering an aggregate of $550 million of senior notes due 2021 and senior
notes due 2041. CERC intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to pay amounts due in
connection with the retirement of all $550 million aggregate principal amount of its 7.75 percent
senior notes due 2011 at their maturity on Feb. 15, 2011.
The offer and sale of the senior notes have not been registered under the Securities Act of 1933
and the senior notes may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or an
applicable exemption from registration requirements.
