Finisar Corporation, a Delaware corporation (“Finisar”), today announced the closing of its
previously announced public offering of 4,140,000 shares of its common stock, par value $0.001 per
share, at a price to Finisar of $28.54 per share. A copy of the press release announcing the
closing of the offering is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
