McMoRan
Exploration Co. issued a press release, dated December 29, 2009, updating its
Gulf of Mexico exploration activities and announcing a conference call,
broadcast on the internet on December 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, about
its current exploration activities. The press release is attached
